Dr. Susana Fontana is the Director and CEO of Hazel Skin Clinic, a doctor-led clinic committed to excellence in aesthetic medicine and healthcare in Blackrock , Dublin. Bringing a wealth of experience and a deep dedication to patient care, she combines her expertise in both general and aesthetic medicine to deliver outstanding results.

Born and raised in Maracaibo, Venezuela, to Italian parents, Dr. Susana pursued her medical degree at the University of Zulia from 2004 to 2011. These years were marked by hard work, challenges, and continuous learning.

After graduating, she moved with her husband to Barcelona, Spain, to begin a new chapter as students. She enrolled in a four-year specialist training program as a General Practitioner, during which she discovered her passion for aesthetic medicine. She subsequently completed two years of specialized studies in aesthetic medicine at the University of Barcelona.

Recognizing the value of a holistic approach to health, Dr. Susana also earned a degree in Human Nutrition and, in 2017, obtained her Diploma in Dermatology with the Catalan Society of Family and Community Medicine. As a General Practitioner, she guided patients through all phases of life with empathy, attentive listening, and decisive action when needed, while collaborating with highly motivated and skilled colleagues.

Following her GP training, Dr. Susana continued working at the same Primary Care Center, gaining extensive experience managing a high volume of patients with diverse backgrounds and medical complexities. She also served as Chair of Dermatology in the Catalan Society of Family Medicine from 2018 to 2021, conducting research, speaking at dermatology congresses, and teaching fellow GPs interested in skin diseases. She became a reference consultant in the Primary Care Center, performing mole mapping, cryotherapy, biopsies, and minor surgeries.

As an Aesthetic Physician, Dr. Susana practiced for four years in a Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Clinic in Barcelona, collaborating with experienced plastic surgeons. There, she performed treatments including fillers, anti-wrinkle injections, chemical peels, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), mesotherapy facials, and skin boosters, honing her skills and refining her patient-centered approach.

After gaining extensive professional experience in Spain and welcoming her first daughter, Dr. Susana and her husband relocated to Ireland, drawn by the country’s beauty, cultural richness, and professional opportunities.

Having embarked on this new chapter and founded Hazel Skin Clinic, Dr. Susana brings her expertise to the forefront.
